The To-Go Lid Showdown: Solo v. FoamAroma

There’s a new to-go lid in town, and we’re pretty excited about it.  I know what you’re thinking, “Um..it’s just a lid, what’s there to be excited about?”.  In all fairness, that was my original reaction when Jay handed me the FoamAroma lid at Coffee Fest Seattle last year and asked what I thought.  Then I met Craig, the FoamAroma guy as we lovingly refer to him here at BPS, and that all changed.  Craig enthusiastically gave me the rundown on his lids: fits most cups, better aroma/taste experience, spill control, more like drinking out of a cup rather than a sippy cup, no foam shooting out of the hole from an overfilled cup, less plastic per lid than competitors, and the list goes on!  Check out his website for more info and testimonials. 

We decided to put FoamAroma to the test and put it up against Solo.  The following photos show the differences in design, how the lids performed when put on cups almost overflowing with lattes, how they stacked up against our spin test (in an attempt to mimic walking, driving, etc), and FoamAroma in white too.  Let us know if you’d like to test it out for yourself and we’ll get you some samples!
