BPS Customer Tamas Christman, Owner of Dragon Fly Coffee RoastersAmerica’s Best Espresso: Grand Championship

America's Best Espresso Competition follows a tri-annual cycle that recognizes the three best coffee roasters in each region of North America. Every other year, the top four finishers from each of the previous six regional competitions come together to vie for the National Championship.

At Coffee Fest Nashville, witness the best of the best compete for the ultimate title of
National Champion!

America’s Best Cold Brew
The Coffee Fest Best Cold Brew Competition recognizes the best tasting cold brew and nitro at each of the three Coffee Fest shows annually. No additives or extra ingredients are permitted - just smooth, extracted cold brew coffee. All roasters and retailers in North America are invited to apply (a $200 entry fee is required for any competitor not exhibiting within the show).

Latte Art Competition
Pouring Latte ArtThis exciting 64 competitor, bracket style, sudden death format features head-to-head competition as "a match" between the competitors. The competitor receiving the highest score from the three judges advances to the next round and the loser is eliminated. Competitors are given three minutes to produce one free-pour drink for the judges (no etching, tool, powders, etc. - just milk and espresso), which is then scored against the competitor at the facing machine. (Nuova Simonelli Aurelia machines are used for the competition.)

Seminars:

Food Innovations Lab
The NEW Food Integration Lab, sponsored by Fresh Cup Magazine, Nuova Simonelli & Design & Layout Services, is a three hour workshop designed
to educate attendees about what it takes to successfully add a culinary program to their coffee shop. Each workshop explores what it takes to be successful and uncovers what many people wish they had known before getting started.

Do you want to increase your sales by incorporating food items into your current beverage menu? Do you want to learn how to compete with the national chains by serving easy to prepare, high margin food items that will keep your customers coming back for breakfast, lunch and dinner? All of the food items that will be featured do not require a ventilation exhaust hood, or a fire suppression system. Attendees will get hands-on experience with the equipment as well as the opportunity to watch, participate and taste the meals that are prepared.

The Successful Coffee House Business Seminar

So you opened your coffee shop, drive thru, espresso bar or some other type of retail coffee business; it has been going well, but you’re not really sure what’s next. What processes could you streamline? Are there better ways to train or manage staff? How do you grow or reach new markets? What does it take to open a new location? This two-day seminar is specifically designed to help you take your existing coffee retail business to the next level. You will come away with tangible insight and specific ideas that help ensure your continued viability and improve your profitability.

"The Successful Coffeehouse Business Seminar" came about after Coffee Fest fielded countless requests from attendees who were looking for an educational program that would help turbocharge their existing specialty coffee business.
