CoffeeFest Nashville Recap

Coffee Fest Nashville 2017

Team dinner at Martin's Bar-B-Que JointWhile no one returned with a velvet, rhinestone encrusted Elvis suit, it is safe to say that Barista Pro Shop's trip to Music City was a success! Personally I think it’s a cryin’ shame that Matthew didn’t pick up some blue suede to accent his eyes - but that’s just me. (Alright, I think I shook all of the Elvis puns out of my system. I spend a lot of time on social media. I could not help myself).

Dottie, Matthew, Tia and Tori had a blast on their whirlwind weekend reconnecting with industry partners, making new connections and in Tia’s words, “tasting all the things.” Tori survived her first trade show and now eagerly anticipates attending more in the future. Though very tired after the jam packed trip, Dottie also enjoyed getting out from behind a screen. Surprisingly, this was her first time at a Coffee Fest show as well even though she’s been with BPS for over eight years.

BPS TeamHighlights:

In awe we watched our customer and friend Tamas from Dragonfly Coffee Roasters as he worked his way up through the America’s Best Espresso National Championship all the while whispering, “Pst, we know him!” Likewise we saw our neighbor and Friend Derrick Wessels throw-down in the Latte Art Competition. A frequent visitor at BPS, Derrick has helped us with various latte art training events. Now that he has started his own roasting business, Beagle Coffee Company, we are eager to see what’s next for this shrewd go-getter.

We were also pumped to see so many of the products that we carry featured at the show. We already believe in what we offer - but it feels good to have our sampling, vetting and selection process affirmed. Congratulations 1883 Maison Routin, Milkadamia and Monin!
