This coffee presents a very clean, tart cherry flavor followed by an amazing blend of blueberry, lime, floral and caramel notes. The cup will finish with a crisp, winey and malic acidity. It is a wonderfully bright, single origin espresso, but also tastes great as a brewed coffee.
Gelana Abaya is another gem of a region in Yirga Cheffe region. This area is nestled between Lake Abaya on the west and the town of Yirgacheffe on the East. There is a lot of debate about natural process coffees, but one thing that I do know is that it takes an amazing origin to shine through the intense flavour profile that comes from the natural process. Gelana Abaya has that intensity of cup to pair intrinsic bean with process!
