Ingredients:
3/4 cup Strawberry Syrup
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 pints fresh strawberries, sliced
1 cup Chocolate Syrup
1 Angel Food cake, prepared according to package directions
cool whip
cocoa powder, chocolate sprinkles, or chocolate shavings

Directions:
In a small saucepan on medium low heat, combine strawberry syrup,and 1/2 cup water. In a separate bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the 2 tablespoons of water. Slowly thicken the strawberry syrup and water. Cool in the refrigerator. Before serving, add the sliced strawberries to the mixture. To assemble the dessert, place 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup on a dessert plate. Slice a piece of angel food cake and place on the plate. Spoon three large spoonfuls of the strawberry mixture on top of the cake. Top with cool whip. Garnish with cocoa powder, chocolate sprinkles or chocolate shavings.
