Staying in for New Years?

Thursday December 27, 2012 // By Kari Guddeck

I’ve been asking a lot of random people what they’re doing for New Year’s Eve this year (and polled our facebook friends), and the overwhelming response has been ‘staying in’.  That’s right; most people have told me they’ll be enjoying a quiet evening at home.  This article from AOL Daily Finance states that 75% of Americans plan on staying in this New Years.  I guess my (very) unscientific sampling might actually be on trend.  Besides a desire to conserve money, I think that the holidays (and especially holidays that were preceded by tragic events) sometimes impart a desire to stay close to home and close to those you love.  That being said, just because you’re staying in doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate in style!  Enter Monin and their oh-so-cute syrup kits for your home bar.  I was perusing the ‘New Items’ page on our website a couple of weeks ago and ran across these syrup kits (how did they get by me??):  Cocktail Flavors Collection and the Home Bar Collection.  The kits offer you a range of flavors to experiment with, and would make a great host/hostess gift.

If you’ve had enough alcohol for one season, try the Handmade Soda Collection or the Coffeehouse Collection (PieIced Tea, and other collections are available too!).
