Meet The Big Bean
“The Big Bean is a cozy, friendly store where people can take a break from their busy day to pick up a delicious cup of brewed coffee or espresso drink.”
The Big Bean is an independent coffee shop in Severna Park, Maryland. They opened shop January 1, 2000 and it was such an important grand opening Juan Valdez had to stop by for a special appearance!
Who is The Big Bean?
With the goal of bringing the best of the specialty coffee industry to the everyday commoner, they believe everyone deserves high-quality, delicious coffee in an environment that doesn’t look down on them for mis-pronouncing all the foreign, multi-syllabic words or not understanding the difference between a French Press and a V-60 brewer. “For example, [they] have 3 cup sizes; small, medium & large. You don't have to speak Italian to enjoy a great espresso drink at The Big Bean!”It was this friendly atmosphere that has driven them to promote a culture of great customer service.
The Big Bean not only serves up great drinks. They, also, offer a wide range of “unusual gift items, fabulous 'novel teas', delicious gourmet goodies and even treats for the doggies.” These items are perfect for fun gifts or for all those people who wnat their menu offerings, but would love to enjoy them at home too!
Did we mention you can get fresh coffee beans as well as loose leaf tea and tea bags to enjoy at home? Well, it’s true The Big Bean has you covered! So, if you’re are in the Annapolis, MD area or planning to travel there; be sure to stop in and enjoy all that The Big Bean has to offer. Also, head back once the weather warms up to take advantage of their scenic patio seating overlooking the Baltimore-Annapolis Bike Trail.
