The Beauty of Urnex

Let me start by saying that cleaning is important and the right product can make all the difference.

I love to clean and I love to have things clean but I don’t always have the time or energy to clean thoroughly so a good cleaning product is very important to me not just in the café but at home also.

During my early coffee years, I was introduced to a cleaning product called Cafiza by Urnex. We used this product to clean our espresso machine and once I saw how well it cleaned our portafilters I was curious to see what else I could clean.

I started by filling my stainless steel sink up with water and then added about a teaspoon (4 doses of the scoopz brush)  of Cafiza Espresso Machine Cleaner.  I put everything I had that was made from metal, glass, or porcelain into the sink and let it soak for about an hour.

The results were amazing !!  Very little to no scrubbing was needed to remove water spots, finger prints, grease, and of course coffee build up.  I was so impressed I decided to start trying out more of Urnex’s products.   I found that different products were great for different items and I ultimately got the same result. What really sets Urnex apart from other cleaning agents is not  just its powerful cleaning compound but the fact that it does not leave a soapy residue.  Urnex is easy to rinse right off taking stains and residue with it.  

At home I started using Tabz to clean my more sensitive items like tumblers, plates, and mugs. One Tab goes a long way, just add to a sink full of water and let it dissolve. Soak everything for 30 minutes to an hour then rinse off. It even leaves my sink clean and shiny!  

In the café, I use the Rinza Milk Tablets not just for the steam wands but also for washing milk and creamer pitchers as well as stir spoons. Rinza’s ability to break down milk protein makes it ideal for cleaning up milk residue. I have even used Rinza to clean out spilt heavy cream from the bottom of my refrigerator.

Café Wipz and Sprayz are definitely not just for the café. They can easily be used in any kitchen. They are great when cleaning up grease, milk, and sugar spills. I was also impressed with their ability to clean the splatter out of my microwave and the bacon greasy on my griddle.

Now the cleaning products in my café are the same cleaning products in my home and both spaces are cleaner than ever before.
