Tobi started at Barista Pro Shop in the hopes of bringing all of her knowledge from experiments, and multiple coffee shop jobs, to help other people find exactly what they are looking for—and maybe some things they didn't realize they wanted!

How long have you worked for BPS and in what capacity?

I haven’t been with BPS long, since September 30th, 2019, as a Customer Service Barista. 

Where did you grow up?  

I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado!

What do you like most about your job or about BPS?

I like the idea of helping people bring their ideas to life. Everyone has this idea of what they want to bring into their shop and make them unique—I really like being the person to help navigate what will and will not work for them. 

What’s your favorite type of music? Do you have a favorite band or artist?

I will selectively listen to anything, it really just depends on what I’m doing. 

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, I'm in the gym training for my future competitions, making food, or hanging out with family and friends. 

Family? Kids? Pets?

My Parents still live in Fort Collins with my youngest sister. My other 2 sisters visit when they can but I don’t see them as often as I’d like to. I have 2 dogs Sam and Shera and I love them so much! In the warmer weather I’ll take Sam on car rides and we’ll go on walks together, usually in Old Town. 

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you be and why?

Somewhere warm! I don’t know if I have anywhere I’d like to put down roots outside of Colorado, but I would love to travel abroad and visit anywhere warm where I can be in the sun. 

What products would you recommend from the BPS catalog and why?

I love coffee & tea and finding new ways to enjoy them, but the 1 thing I can’t leave behind me is the Pacific Natural Foods Barista Series Soy Milk. I’ve always loved Soy Milk and the Pacific is my favorite brand and it makes everything taste better! I’ll dip my cookies in it, mix my protein drinks with it, make smoothies, and use it in my lattes. I love it!

Anything else you would like to add?

I like to stay active anyway I can and I love to try new things.
